It was nice to see our Scholars today. School is out for the day, and all Huskies who requested a ride home were shuttled by our maintenance department. Some loose sheet metal is hanging off the roof and flapping in the wind, use extreme caution if you come by the school. Stay Safe Savoonga.
We will have a regular start to the school day. If you have no power and heat you are welcome to come to the school gym. Please do not send children unescorted to the school. Breakfast for students will be served at 8:20 am. Stay safe.
Classes are canceled for today, Thursday, December 7, 2023. Gaetano and I attempted to walk downtown, but the wind made it very difficult, and we don't want our Huskies to try and make it up here in these conditions. A big snow drift on the east side of the school also makes coming up that way impassable for now. Stay safe and stay warm Huskies.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will not have classes tomorrow, Thursday, November 16, 2023. Several large pieces of sheet metal have begun to peel off the gym roof and can fly off at any moment. We are asking all community members to stay away from the campus until we can remedy the situation. We will begin repairs when the wind slows down tomorrow. Stay Home and Stay safe, Huskies!
Dear Savoonga Community, please do not come by the school until we reopen tomorrow. Stay off the playground and all surrounding areas of the school. We will have atuq the end of the day from 2:30-3:20 where Student of the Month and JrNYO awards will be presented! Don’t forget to wear any traditional regalia unaami! There will be cultural door prizes for Scholars.

All flights have been booked. There are a few modifications in the schedule due to routing that are noted in yellow. Mostly for the southern route.
The northern route has one route that the photographer is on standby Wales to Brevig Mission. The southern route has one standby at the end of the route Elim to Nome.
